Two years ago my husband and I met Laura when we were looking for someone to teach us just one dance for our wedding. Neither of us had danced since high school and we were pretty clueless. Initially we had no intention of continuing, but we were having so much fun with Laura (and occasionally, Robert) that two years later we are still at it. This has very much to do with her lovely demeanor, knowledge of dance, and her skill as a teacher. She has a great teaching style that really works for us. We especially appreciate her undying cheerfulness and patience, because this does not come easily for either of us! We like working with Robert too. Learning to dance is great “couple time”. We take home what we learn in the private lessons and practice at home in the evenings. It’s also really fun to attend the group classes and local dances and to meet new people.

I will remain forever grateful for the private dance lessons I took from you.  I am still amazed that after only two private lessons, you got me unstuck from a 50 year block and trauma tape that I ran every time I tried to partner dance.  I think that is nothing short of miraculous.  So thank you so very, very much.  -Effie Neth-
